“Chariots of War 2” features an all-new story mode with significantly expanded content, far surpassing the previous installment. Moreover, the game’s setting has shifted from a monotonous desert back to a layered urban environment. Players can unlock and use a total of 10 vehicles, including an ice cream truck. In the new game, we’ll be focusing on overhauling the gameplay to make it more engaging, and vehicles will be much easier to damage. Compared to flashy 3D graphics or cute, cartoonish styles, to be honest, the pure 2D, paper‑like aesthetic of Tank vs. Zombies 2 is really refreshing. The meticulously crafted cars and their various components are tinged with that yellowish, post‑apocalyptic hue reminiscent of a zombie outbreak. In gameplay, the splattering zombie gore is incredibly visceral, and this title is one of those games where the visuals alone can get players hyped. Don’t mistake its rough, edgy look for a lack of detail—on the contrary, the details are remarkably rich. Every modification you make to your vehicle is reflected in the visuals, and as you keep ramming into zombies, the damage to your car becomes increasingly pronounced, making the realism undeniable. The game offers both a story mode and a mission mode for players to tackle. From what I can tell, the mission mode isn’t fully developed yet, so let’s dive into the story mode first. At the start, there are only three controls: the two buttons in the bottom-left corner—anyone who’s played “Ski Safari” will know exactly how they work—they let you roll the vehicle, which can even help you climb onto high platforms or slide under tunnels. On the right is the acceleration button; don’t hesitate—just keep it held down, and you’ll be fine. As a parkour game, our goal is to drive as far as possible. While it feels great to smash through obstacles or flatten zombies, doing so increases fuel consumption and can cause the mission to fail. By using the directional pad in the bottom-left corner to angle the car upward and run over the zombies instead of ramming them, you can save a significant amount of gas and avoid wrecking your vehicle—preventing failure due to excessive damage.
